Investment Teams

The Investment teams at Artisan Partners are autonomously structured to retain the purity of each team's investment process and to amplify the creative perspectives that lead to value creation. Our autonomous investment teams manage a diverse range of strategies across multiple asset classes. Because we have a strong philosophical belief in team autonomy, each team has its own unique investment process and maintains its own research capabilities. Our teams are given the freedom to build their research franchise in a way that best suits their investment processes.

Distribution and Client Service

The Distribution and Client Service team liaises with our institutional, broker-dealer, financial advisor, defined contribution and retail clients. We employ knowledgeable, investment-focused relationship managers who are directly aligned with an investment team, region or distribution channel. This approach ensures clients receive high-quality, customized service and also protects the time and culture of each investment team.

Finance

The Finance team provides accounting, tax and treasury support for the firm, as well as financial analytics and reporting to support management and to communicate financial results to stakeholders. The team is focused on providing accurate, timely, insightful and easily consumable financial information to management and stakeholders.

Human Capital

The Human Capital team is responsible for talent acquisition, talent development and talent management across the firm. This team is also responsible for firm wide compensation, as well as associate benefits design and administration. The Human Capital team designs its programs with a talent-focus and serves as a culture carrier within the firm.

Information Technology

The Information Technology team designs, implements and supports leading edge technology solutions for the entire firm. The team's focus is on constantly elevating the mobility, productivity and analytical capabilities of Artisan Partners' associates. The team is committed to delivering these services with agility, consistent with the firm's culture of providing a “distraction free” investing climate.

Internal Audit

The Internal Audit team provides independent and objective assurance relating to the firm's key risks, controls and governance processes. The team provides guidance and advice regarding the design of new processes and controls and facilitates the firm's risk management efforts by partnering with the business management team to identify and prioritize key and emerging risks and associated mitigation activities and controls.

Legal, Compliance & Information Security Governance

The Legal and Compliance & Information Security Governance team provides ongoing advice, thought leadership and oversight with laws, regulatory requirements, firm policies & procedures, industry standards and technical and cyber security. The team maintains a testing program, regularly reports to management, the firm's boards and clients on legal and regulatory matters and serves as the interface with the firm's regulators.

Marketing and Communications

The Marketing and Communications team is responsible for developing and managing the firm's corporate identity and brand. The team produces communications on behalf of the firm and our investment teams and manages client reporting, marketing, advertising, public relations and other communications that impact our internal and external stakeholders.

Securities and Trade Operations

The Securities and Trade Operations team provides front, middle and back-office services in support of Artisan Partners' traders, investment strategies and client accounts, including full trade life-cycle management, such as post-execution trade processing and controls and maintaining compliance with investment guidelines. Additionally, the team provides a range of portfolio servicing functions including proxy and corporate actions administration, performance measurement, facilitation of subscriptions and redemptions, investment accounting and vehicle administration.
