Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The Artisan Partners Growth Team has been recognized in the seventh annual Investor’s Business Daily (IBD) Best Mutual Funds 2022 Awards. Artisan Global Opportunities Fund, managed by the Team, was ranked fourth within the Best International Stock Funds category, based on its 10-year average annual return. The Team previously won the award in 2021 for the Artisan Small Cap Fund ranking fifth in the Best Small Cap Funds category.
IBD’s data-driven list showcases a variety of top-performing mutual funds across the major categories that investors consider for broad market exposure or more narrow objectives. Each award-winning fund has beat its benchmark — the S&P 500 for stock funds — for the past one, three, five and ten years, showing it outperformed in recent market conditions as well as over the longer term. For 2022, IBD compared the returns of 3,673 funds that have been around for at least 10 years and found that 677 beat the benchmark index in those four periods.
“We are honored by this award and are incredibly proud of our team’s accomplishments. This is a testament to the strength and durability of our process.” said Jim Hamel, the Global Opportunities Fund’s lead portfolio manager.

The value of portfolio securities selected by the investment team may rise or fall in response to company, market, economic, political, regulatory or other news, at times greater than the market or benchmark index. International investments involve special risks, including currency fluctuation, lower liquidity, different accounting methods and economic and political systems, and higher transaction costs. These risks typically are greater in emerging markets. Securities of small- and medium-sized companies tend to have a shorter history of operations, be more volatile and less liquid and may have underperformed securities of large companies during some periods. Growth securities may underperform other asset types during a given period.
