Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Artisan Partners announced today that Jason L. White, CFA, has been named portfolio manager on the Artisan Partners Growth Team. Mr. White joined the team in 2000 as an analyst and has been an associate portfolio manager on the team since January 2011. James D. Hamel, CFA, Matthew H. Kamm, CFA and Craigh A. Cepukenas, CFA, continue as lead portfolio managers on the team for the Artisan Global Opportunities, Mid Cap and Small Cap Funds, respectively.

Prior to joining the Growth team in 2000, Mr. White was a Lieutenant in the U.S. Navy, serving aboard the USS LAKE ERIE as the ship's Fire Control Officer. He holds a BS in History from the United States Naval Academy, where he graduated with distinction.

Commenting on the announcement, Mr. Hamel said, "Jason's promotion is in recognition of his contributions and leadership on the team. Throughout his tenure with the team, Jason's responsibilities have grown from fundamental analysis to research leadership over key global food chains such as technology. This promotion is a formality that supports our view of his abilities as a decision maker and the value he has created for our clients."
